“In case there is no Q-in-Q double tag function of fiber converter, the remote customer’s network device(such as switch) should be changed if the provider’s network also provide VLAN tag. This may cause a lot of cost in replacing device and the network administrator may suffer the complexity of changing network structure”

Illustration :
For example, in the Figure 1, P-VLAN (Provider-VLAN) Tag is used to identify the service as illustrated. The subscriber’s VLAN Tag (C-VLAN Tag) remains intact and is not altered by the service provider’s anywhere within the provider’s network.
