(June 25, 2009) Connection Technology System (CTS) had announced the availability
of the dual-speed 100Mbps / 1Gbps SFP fiber transceiver family using a long
wavelength 1310nm FP laser diode.

There are two modules in this SFP family. Both of the modules compliant with IEEE
802.3z 1000Base-X and 802.3u 100Base-FX Ethernet standards and SFP
Multi-source Agreement (MSA) The SFP-DRFC is a multi-mode transceiver that
allows transmitting data up to 2km at 100Mbps and 550m at 1Gbps fiber channel
specification. The SFP-DRFC(SM-10) is a single-mode transceiver that enables data
transmission up to 10km on a single-mode (9/1255m) optical fiber.

With the ability of hot plug, this new dual-speed SFP transceiver family offers the
flexibility of true dual-speed compliant interfaces and provides the versatile solutions
for delivering FTTB or FTTH networks without the interruption of the host equipments
operating online.
