(June 2, 2009 -- Computex) Connection Technology Systems (CTS), a provider of fiber metro Ethernet & FTTx solution, today announced its ESH-3605, the world’s first Layer-2 Gigabit CPE switch with Y.1731 OAM (Operation, Administration, and Maintenance) standard. ESH-3605 is an ideal Active Ethernet FTTx solution to deploy as customer premise equipment for carriers to enhance network transmission performance in a cost-effective way.

In terms of system manageability, ESH-3605 supports advanced Y.1731 OAM standard to facilitate device management, enabling carriers to rapidly detect, isolate and verify faults for an Ethernet service. Moreover, ESH-3605 allows the service performance complies with Service Level Agreements (SLA) in guaranteed service packages.

ESH-3605 comes with four 10/100/1000Base-T copper LAN ports and one 1000Base-X Fiber Optic slot for uplink. In terms of features related with Network Service Provider, ESH-3605 comes with proven QoS features and service-aware VLAN to secure the service quality. IGMP snooping empowers commercial IP TV deliveries. Moreover, SNMP and Command Line Interface (CLI) are offered to enable more choices for administrators to have extensive control over the network.
