Connection Technology System (CTS), the leading fiber Ethernet and FTTX solutionprovider, announced that the company has gain accreditation to ISO 14001 environmental standard. The certification was awarded by URS, a UKAS accredited body. The ISO-14001 standard is intended to encourage organizations to implement and improve environmental management system and thus to ensure organizations compliance with their stated environmental policies.
"In addition to gain a reputation for quality in fiber Ethernet equipments” said Jennifer Shieh, Vice President and Sales Director of CTS. “We recognize our social responsibility as a global organization to assess and regulate the impact we have on the environment. And now we pride ourselves on achieving the highest possible environmental standards through continual improvement.”
To gain accreditation, CTS is required to look at the business and determine how it impacts on the environment. The whole process involved upgrading the environmental management systems and corporate documentation to ensure meeting regulation requirements and enhance environmental awareness within the whole company. Jennifer adds, “To gain ISO 14001 accreditation not only improving the efficiency of operation and keeping CTS’s commitment to go “Green”, it also creates a better working environment for employees.
